In conjunction with the rapid advancement of IT and its penetration into society, it is increasingly becoming important to understand the fundamental premise that technology is intended to improve the lives of human beings. Based on this basic premise, the Department of Design and Information Sciences aims to foster the development of highly sensitive engineers and designers with both scientific/analytical minds and a philosophy that places its highest priority on the human being. Founded on education of basic proficiencies across a broad number of fields, the program consists of specialized areas of education and research units broadly divided into a system information design and media information design. This allows for the development of experts with the practical capabilities to lead the new industries of tomorrow.
