Faculty of Economics & Graduate School of Economics
Practical Education Based on Firm Traditions

Targeting a broad range of social sciences including economics, business management and law, students are provided with an educational environment that is always adaptable to the changes of society and develops them into everything from generalists to specialists, as in our 'specialized' courses.
Description of the Faculty
The Faculty of Economics dates back to 1922, when the Wakayama Higher Commercial
School was established. Since then it has produced outstanding individuals in various fields. From narrowly focused Higher Commercial School, the Faculty of Economics has developed into a wide-ranging comprehensive Faculty with specialists not only in the fields of economics, business and commerce, but also law, the social sciences, and computer science.
