Department of Market and the Environment
Economic and corporate activities revolve around the market, so factors such as market size, the market's role and the rules placed on the market have a great influence on social development. However, universities in Japan have not sufficiently developed new fields of multifaceted research and education on important markets and their environments in modern society.
Our Department of Markets and the Environment, therefore, consists of three major courses: Commercial System, Economic Environment, and Market and Law. They cover the market and its environment, both vital to economics and corporate activities, based on new perspectives. The department provides opportunities to learn the roles and importance of the markets in society, and, via a well-devised curriculum, it strives to foster the development of members of society and professionals able to adapt to internationalization and the intensified use of information in society.
