Chiaki Sakama
Graduated from Kyoto University
in 1985 and received a Dr. Eng. degree in computer science in 1995.
He joined Toshiba Corp. and the Fifth Generation Computer Project at
ICOT (1986-1989).
Then he worked at the Advanced Software Technology and Mechatronics
Research Institute of Kyoto (1989-1995). He has been at
Wakayama University
since 1995 and is currently a Professor in the
Department of Computer and Communication Sciences.
Research Interests
- Artificial Intelligence (belief revision, commonsense/nonmonotonic reasoning, knowledge representation, machine learning, multiagent system, etc)
- Computational Logic
(abductive/disjunctive/inductive logic programming,
answer set programming, computational complexity, deductive database,
program transformation, semantics, etc)
