[Conference presentation] ICDES 2025

The International Conference on Destinations, Events and Sports (ICDES 2025), organized by Hokkaido University, UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, and the Hokkaido Shimbun Press Co., Ltd., was held between 8th and 11th May at Hokkaido University, Japan. From Wakayama University, CTR Researchers, Dr. Mohamed Elbarbary and Assoc.Prof. Husna Zainal Abidin (Faculty of Tourism) presented their research.
Dr. Elbarbary gave an oral presentation on his research that examined how Arab visitors and non-visitors construe their image of Japan according to the psychological distance dimensions. Dr. Zainal Abidin also presented her research on the opportunities and challenges of developing Muslim friendly tourism in Japan.
