[Presentation Report] Online seminar at Edith Cowan University

公開日 2026.10.15

On October 7, CTR researcher Dr. Mohamed Elbarbary was invited by Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia, to deliver an online seminar for graduate students in the Tourism, Hospitality and Creative Industries program.

Dr. Elbarbary delivered a lecture entitled “Leveraging Street Art Murals as Alternative Tourist Products,” drawing on findings from his recent research. The lecture explored the historical development of street art and its potential contributions to urban regeneration and tourism development, with particular attention to previously marginalized and neglected neighborhoods in Europe and Japan.

During the Q&A session, students actively engaged with the topic and raised a number of insightful questions, leading to a productive discussion on the role of street art murals in creating alternative tourism experiences and revitalizing urban areas.
