The Graduate School of Economics is reorganized from three departments to one department with eight educational programs in April 2021. Please refer to further information (in Japanese).
Diploma Policy & Curriculum Policy
Students enrolled at the Graduate School of Economics are required, over the period of two academic years, to successfully complete, a minimum number of credits and submit a Master’s thesis under the academic guidance of the research supervisor. Graduation is conditional on the successful evaluation of the Master’s dissertation.
Students are expected to successfully complete the following minimum credit requirements
- Research seminar (minimum of 8 credits)
- Major-related subjects and inter-major subjects (minimum of 22 credits).
Within the total number of credits, it is required from students to complete a minimum of 12 credits in major-related subjects.
Students who desire to pursue their studies while working are allowed to complete an intensive Master’s program within a single academic year.
